Overview#
The annual New Year’s Day pool party tradition continues! This year’s event featured a perfect progression from day to night, with Part 1 “Sunset” keeping things melodic and groovy while the sun was up, then Part 2 “Night” taking us into darker, more driving territory once darkness fell.
Some highlights from the Sunset set include a classic drop of Bedrock’s “For What You Dream Of” from 1993 (!) which still sounds fresh, Trilucid’s gorgeous “Stories In Light”, and Guy J’s mesmerizing “Karma”. The “Night” set kicks off with Yotto’s rework of FSOL’s “Papua New Guinea” and features standout tracks from Marsh, Sasha, Deep Dish, Quivver, and an epic finish with James Harcourt’s Meltdown!
Part 1: Sunset Mix#
The Sunset mix features more melodic progressive house to start, transitioning into housey numbers toward the end. Perfect vibes for poolside sunset sessions!
